The District Data Interoperability Technical Advisory Committee, or HB 2508 TAC, was created within 2025's House Bill 2508. This committee is responsible for making recommendations for the creation of a statewide method to electronically create, access, transfer, and update student data.
The purpose is to reduce duplication of student records across the state; reduce student record transfer time; better support mobile students, students experiencing disabilities, and students with a section 504 plan; and reduce school district reporting burden while increasing ODE data access for research purposes.
